Exposition: background information provided by the narrator

External conflict: conflict happen between the narrator and the other character.
Complication: a process of causing tension.
Climax: the most exciting and important part of the story.
Resolution: the ending part of the story.
Chronological sequence: a following of an event after another.
Flashback: talking about what happened in the past.
Foreshadowing: a technique of hinting something what's going to happen.
Tension: stress or conflict.
Suspense: an element that the writer left to leave the reader hanging.
In Romeo and Juliet, Romeo and Juliet each faced the external conflict (feud), which resulted in the tragic ending.
